International Jewellery London Show 2020 Cancelled

International Jewellery London, scheduled to take place at Alexandra Palace, London, from September 13-15, 2020, has been cancelled due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the organisers, Reed Exhibitions said in a statement.

The decision was taken following UK government guidelines and after “comprehensive discussions” with customers, public health authorities and partner organisations, which made it clear that the organisation was not in a position “to host a large scale gathering for the industry in September without compromising the key valuable elements of IJL”.

Reed Exhibitions stated, “The health and safety of our exhibitors, visitors, partners and staff is our number one priority. Therefore, after careful consideration, we feel it is in everyone’s best interests not to go ahead with this year’s event and wanted to give everyone involved as much notice as possible.”

The statement also said that IJL aimed to protect and maintain its 65 years of heritage during this unprecedented time. It noted that the organisers would continue to collaborate with exhibitors and visitors to do all they can to support the global jewellery industry during this difficult period.

“We are working out these details now and will inform everyone at the relevant and appropriate times,” it concluded.
