The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council is the apex body of a dynamic industry, and was set up by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, in 1966. It has played a significant role in the evolution of the industry to its present stature by effectively moulding the scattered efforts of individual exporters into a powerful engine driving the country’s export-led growth. Today, the Council has 5,300 members spread all over the country.

GJEPC’s objective is to promote export of Indian gem & jewellery and create opportunities for Indian Jewellery companies in the overseas market. The GJEPC through its promotional measures worldwide, provide a range of services to help its members and promote India as a brand for doing business with International jewellery companies.
