Over 750 Retail Showrooms Pan India Enroll with GJEPC-De Beers Diamond Promotion Campaign

As the Town Hall meeting drive to enrol retail jewellers from across the country for the Mega Diamond Promotion campaign being launched in India by GJEPC-De Beers entered its second week, the response has been extremely good, with more than 750 of the country’s leading jewellery retailers signing up as participants.

Representatives of GJEPC-De Beers are currently on Road Shows across the country explaining the details of the proposed campaign to retail jewellers in 30 key cities.

Last week, the two partners addressed meetings in Chennai, Mumbai, Indore, Lucknow, Delhi, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad and Surat while this week the meetings will be held in Bengaluru, Hyderabad on October 12 and 13, followed by other cities.

At Chandigarh, over 30 jewellers have joined within a couple of days of the meeting, while in Lucknow there are 12 and in Ahmedabad and Surat the number of registrations is nearly 25. These numbers are expected to increase further in the coming days. Already 198 Tanishq stores across the country are participating. As already reported other participants include Malabar Gold & Diamonds with 80 stores, Senco Gold & Diamonds with 42 stores, the GRT chain with 40 stores, Waman Hari Pethe with 21 stores, Anmol Jewellers, Gehna Jewellers, Lagu Bandhu Jewellers, Kashi Jewellers and many more.

This year GJEPC-De Beers have come together to launch the first ever generic diamond promotion campaign in India in over a decade. The two have planned a Rs 50 crore media blitz across print, electronic and social media channels which will run from early October to the end of December. India will celebrate important festivals such as Dusshera, Karva Chauth, Dhanteras, Diwali, Christmas and New Year during this period.
