GJF’s 7th National Jewellery Awards Presented at Glittering Event

The 7th National Jewellery Awards 2017 organized by All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) were presented to 25 award winners across five different segments at a glittering celebrity studded night held on July 29 in Mumbai. Shri Manoj Dwivedi - Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, was the chief guest at the event.

Earlier, a jury comprising celebrity judges Zeenat Aman, Padmini Kolhapure, Neelam Kothari, Preeti Jhangiani, Falguni Peacock and Shilpi Sharma had chosen the award winners from a shortlist. The awards help to showcase and give recognition to the talent and craftsmanship skills of members of the gems and jewellery industry. This year 10 outstanding students also received scholarships for future education.

NJA Committee Convener and Director – GJF, Anantha Padmanaban, said, “This year NJA received encouraging responses from leading jewellers. The awards help to encourage competence in terms of designs and trends of the industry.”

Chairman, GJF, Nitin Khandelwal said, “NJA opens up an untapped business opportunity for participants and motivates the jewellers in terms of crafting inspiration, passion and innovativeness.”
