4th Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair 2015 Concludes

The 4th edition of the Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair 2015 held from Sept 26-28, 2015 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi concluded successfully with over 10,000 trade visitors interacting with 270 exhibitors mainly from different parts of North India. The show was organised by UBM India and supported by many of the leading trade bodies fromthe city.

The show was inaugurated by Chief Guest Krishan Pal Gurjar - Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment along with Vipul Goel, MLA; Yogesh Singhal, General Secretary, Delhi Bullion & Jewellers Association; Ram Niwas Goel, MLA; Prem Sharma, President, Delhi Bullion & Jewellery Welfare Association; and Ramavtar Verma, President, Delhi Bullion & Jewellers Association.

Yogesh Mudras, Acting Managing Director, UBM India Pvt. Ltd., said, "While organised retail jewellery market in India is still nascent, the opportunity for growth is unlimited. The sector is witnessing changes in consumer preferences with increasing demand for innovative designs and variety in jewellery. The 4th edition of Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair recorded an impressive leap in the number of visitors which stands testimony to our endeavour of bridging the gap between industry offerings and an increasing market consumption in north India."

Other highlights of the event were the Design in Excellence Awards for budding designers; a scintillatingFashion show with leading models showcasing unique jewellery designs; and the Retail Jeweller Guild Awards 2015, a maiden initiative by UBM India with awards to industry veterans and emerging players across different categories.

In addition, UBM India launched India's Retail Jewellery Companies Publication, a 10-year industry outlook with key insights and trends.
