PJSC ALROSA  today  announced the appointment of Matvey Evseev as the Company’s  Vice President.

Evseev’s portfolio will include  heading  “the   implementation of a number of ALROSA Group’s special projects at mining facilities”, the Company said.

“(The ) Professional background and expertise of Matvey Evseev will boost the development of the projects being important for the Company’s further growth while not being core projects from the point of view of diamond mining,” said  ALROSA President Andrey Zharkov.

Prior to his appointment at ALROSA,   Evseev was the CEO of OJSC Almazy Anabara,  a subsidiary of ALROSA’s. The Company’s   Supervisory Board will, in due course,  consider the candidates and appoint a new CEO for the subsidiary.

OJSC Almazy Anabara, which is engaged in rough diamond production at various places  in  the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) had a 9%  share in ALROSA Group’s total diamond output in 2015.
