Starting November 17th, 2015, Vladislav Zhdanov has taken over as Vice President of Alrosa.

Zhdanov will be looking after economic security of the Company, and also be in charge of internal audit and monitoring, and risk management.

This is the first time that Alrosa has designated a Vice President to be tasked with such duties.  This, the Company says, will increase the effectiveness of corporate governance and risk management.  The appointment is also in line with the idea of setting up “appropriate business units” as envisaged by the Corporate Governance Code approved by the Russian government.

Zhdanov was formerly in charge of marketing risks management and business model optimisation at machine-building holding company Zhejiang Noblelift Equipment JSC in CIS and Eastern Europe.

He was born in 1974, and graduated with distinction from the Diplomatic Academy of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a degree in Global Economy and from Oxford University.
