Russian miner Alrosa announced  that its Mir Kimberlite Pipe located in Yakutia, has yielded a 78.02-carat diamond. 

The diamond, which the company describes as having a “regular shape with minor technogenic damages on two tops and small inclusions” and being “transparent with yellowish and greenish hue", is 28.5x 28.4x24.2 mm in dimension.

Alrosa’s Diamond Sorting Centre experts believe that should the gem be auctioned, it may attract a price tag of around US$ 600,000.
