Oleg Petrov, who joined Alrosa in September, has been appointed as director of Alrosa’s United Selling Organisation (USO). His term commenced from November 16, 2015.

Petrov was formerly sales and marketing director at PJSC Uralkali, a Russian potash fertilizer producer and exporter traded on the London Stock Exchange and Moscow Exchange. While there, he was in charge of commercial activities such as sales and export in the Russian Federation, logistics and financing, Alrosa said.

Born in 1963, Petrov graduated from Moscow Military Command Academy (Military Institute) and Moscow Academy of Economics and Law.

The USO is the division of Alrosa responsible for sorting, valuation, pre-sale preparation and sale of diamonds.
