Anjali Jewellers, a well-known retailer from Kolkata recently became one of the first jewellers in the country to launch an M-commerce platform. The jeweller has introduced a Mobile App that will enable customers to buy jewellery, gift vouchers and carry out other transactions while on the go. The App can be downloaded from the App Store for iPhones and from the Play Store for Android phones.

Speaking to the media shortly after the laynch, Anargha Chowdhury, director said that brick & mortar stores are a costly proposition; and the company has now followed up its successful foray into e-commerce with the Mobile app to help it further penetrate into the mass market.
