Antwerp Diamond Fair Concludes on a Successful Note

The three-day Antwerp Diamond Fair held from Feb 1st to 3rd, ended in a highly successful note says the organiser AWDC.

“The three bourse halls, the Beurs voor Diamanthandel, the Diamantclub van Antwerpen and the Antwerpsche Diamantkring welcomed hundreds of visitors over the three days,” AWDC stated.

At this by-invitation show, buyer delegations from the Middle East, China, Eastern Europe and North Africa came to the diamond trading  hub Antwerp,  to conduct business with 80 exhibitors from the industry’s top firms. They all sought to take advantage of the favourable pricing of the Antwerp market.

Giving an idea of the Fair, its website says that: “80% of the world’s rough diamonds and 50% of the polished diamonds are traded in Antwerp, a market with a daily volume of nearly US$350 million.”

"Antwerp Diamond Night", the main networking event during the fair was one of the highlights of the show. On this occasion, AWDC CEO Ari Epstein addressed the audience, saying the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair, alongside many other initiatives, bears witness to the fact Antwerp is and remains the world’s most important diamond trade hub in the global diamond industry.
