Antwerpsche Diamantkring to Host Rough Diamond Days on February 25-26

The next edition of Rough Diamond Days, a special platform for rough traders created and hosted by the Antwerpsche Diamantkring (ADK), the world's leading rough diamond bourse, will be held on February 25 and 26, in the ADK trading hall.

The Rough Diamond Days programme was started in November 2014 to offer rough traders, manufacturers and dealers a great platform to meet, network and do business. The first edition was a great success. ADK President Freddy Inzlicht said, "The floor was teeming with traders showing goods and concluding deals.

Michael Vaughan, ADK executive board member and chair of the Rough Damond Days organising committee, added, "In November, we held our first Rough Diamond Day at the Kring.  It was so successful that in February, it will be held over two days."

Inzlicht said that this initiative by the Kring is an integral part of Antwerp's global marketing efforts. "Annually, some 80 percent of the global rough diamond production is traded and sold in Antwerp. However, these are challenging times, and to remain at the top we need to increase our promotional and marketing efforts.”
