AshishDeo assumed office as the new CEO of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and will be based at the London office of the organisation. Just prior to assuming his new responsibility, Ashish had been Commercial Director of The Fairtrade Foundation, a post he had held for past four years. In addition to this experience in working on business ethics and sustainability, he has also a wealth of experience in working with global consumer brands.

Before joining Fairtrade, Ashish spent 12 years with Diageo, the leading global producer of premium alcoholic brands, where he worked in leadership roles along the entire value chain spanning sales and marketing, supply chain strategy and global procurement and across diverse cultures in Europe, Asia Pacific and N America. 

Ashish is originally from India and started his career as a Brand Manager with Procter & Gamble (P&G) India managing well-known brands like Vicks and Oil of Olay.
