Lucapa Diamond Company Limited today announced the recovery of another “exceptional 172.67 carat diamond” at its Lulo Diamond Project in Angola.

The latest in a series of specials – that is, those more than 10.8 cts – is the fifth stone of more than 100 cts to be recovered from Lulo’s alluvial mining operations in 2016, and the sixth such diamond in total. Testing by the Yehuda colorimeter has confirmed the 172.67 ct stone to be a Type II a diamond.
