According to a statement from Botswana Diamonds plc, the Company has commenced its 2016 Drill Programme.

“The first large diameter reverse circulation hole on kimberlite AK21 on PL 260 in Orapa started on Tuesday 5th April,” the Company said. “Target depth is 300 metres.”

Also, the first of three narrow diamond drill holes will commence this week on the same licence, Botswana Diamonds declared.

Once the drilling of these holes is completed, the Company said that the diamond drill rig will move to PL 210 in Orapa “to drill two or three holes targeting the potential source of the strong Kimberlitic Indicator Minerals (KIMs)”.
