Workers from different gem and jewellery units in the Sitapura Industrial Area, Japiur, students and faculty of IIGJ Jaipur and many others participated enthusiastically in the Blood Donation drive held from May 10-13, 2015 at different locations across the Pink City.

The Camp was organised by Trustee of the ‘Diya and Mehek Memorial Charitable Trust’, Shri Badri Narayanan Gupta on the death anniversary of his grand daughters (Diya and Mehek) who lost their life at a very tender age of 4 and 6 years in the serial bomb blasts that occurred in Jaipur on May 13, 2008. The blood donation drive has been organised annually evver since 2010.

This year, a total of 1088 units of blood were collected, which was 80 units more than in 2014. Mobile Collection Vans of Sawai Man Singh Hospital and Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital assisted in the drive, and a day long collection camp was also held on the premises of the latter hospital on the last day of the drive
