The India Evening hosted by GJEPC on the penultimate day of the inaugural Vicenzaoro Dubai show that took place in Dubai from April 23-26, 2015 offered visitors and exhibitors a perfect opportunity to strengthen contacts established at the show over the first three days.

The special entertainment-cum-networking event for the trade was held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel on Saturday 25 April and was attended by exhibitors, the over 200 hosted buyers of the show, as well as leading retailers from UAE, KSA and other countries in the region.

Addrressing the gathering, Pankaj Parekh, Vice-Chairman GJEPC said that the Council believed that the new show was an extremely important event for the region and would emerge as a key platform for doing business there. Emphasising that GJEPC was extremely pleased to partner Vicenzaoro Dubai, he added, “When two giants come together they have the power of an entire team of 11.”

Fiera di Vicenza managing director Corrado Facco spoke on behalf of the organisers and said that they were happy to be associated with the GJEPC in creating this new international platform. He stressed that the show has a huge potential which will be realised over the coming years.

Krisztina Kalman-Schueler, the WDM Programme Director made a brief presentation on behalf of World Diamond Mark covering the promotional activities taken up by the organisation and some of its recent successes in the region.

Well known stand up comedy show host, Cyrus Broacha entertained the audience with his lively presentation of the evening.

Saunak Parikh, Convener Exhibitions Sub-Committee (International) proposed the Vote of Thanks.
