GSI to Open its 4th India-based Lab in Surat

Gemological Science International (GSI) has announced that it will shortly be launching a new state-of-the-art laboratory facility at Surat to cater to the growing business and increased demand for GSI certification. This will be the organisation’s fourth lab in India and will be equipped to test both loose stones and studded jewellery.

GSI officials said that full-fledged operations will commence at Surat within the next few weeks.

The new facility is located at the Diamond World complex of Surat, the organisation said in a statement. GSI already has two labs in Mumbai and one in Thrissur, Kerala.

The lab will use advanced technology and latest equipment. It will offer a complete package of services, including convenient delivery options for clients.

“The new facility will result in faster turnaround time with personalised services for our clients in Surat, enabling better productivity,” said Mark Gershburg, CEO of GSI.

Gemological Science International (GSI) was established in New York City in 2005 as a full-service, high-tech lab designed specifically to meet the rapidly changing needs of the jewellery industry and today has offices across USA, India, Israel, and Belgium.
