A further batch of 20 employees of Shriram Transport Finance Co. Ltd. completed the two day training programme in Gold Appraisal and Valuation at the IndianInstitute of Gems & Jewellery, Andheri on November 6-7, 2014. This was the ninth batch of employees of Shriram Transport Finance who have attended training programmes at the institute, and the company has now decided to continue the association for all its 120 employees.

The training was conducted by Manufacturing Department team comprising of Uttamkumar Das by Milind Kadam and Sanjay Khot. Participants learnt how to identify different colours and carats of gold on touch stone. They also attended demonstrations of Dust burning & Metal Refining process, CAD CAM Rhino software and Manufacturing process as well as Manual & Laser soldering.

Dr. Seema Shah, head ofIIGJ Andheri said: “The training programme has instilled confidence in the staff in identifying fake gold from real gold which is their prime concern in giving loans against gold jewelery.
