Inhorgenta Munich 2017 Concludes on an Upbeat Note

The four-day Inhorgenta Munich 2017 which was held from February 18 to 21, 2017 had “more exhibitors, more visitors and a successful Award premiere” a press note from the organisers said.

The fair attracted around 27,500 trade visitors from over 70 countries which was  five per cent more than in 2016.  It had   987 exhibitors from 40 countries, also about five percent higher than the last year.   

Klaus Dittrich, Chairman and CEO of Messe München, commented: "The positive mood could be noticed in all halls among the exhibitors and visitors. This is confirmed by the first evaluation of the exhibitor and visitor survey. The values have further improved in all points. We can all be satisfied with the result.”

His view was generally echoed by participants. "Inhorgenta Munich is the ideal kick-off into the new business year for us – the event enjoys high priority within our company,” said    Matthias Stotz, Managing Director of Junghans.

Jörg Gellner, CEO of   an epynomous jewellery  manufacturing company observed: "As a platform for professional exchange, inspiration and personal interaction, Inhorgeta Munich  is an   important annual milestone for us. We look forward to participating next year again."

Alexander Kuster, part of  Leonardo Sales Management, expressed his satisfaction saying: "We regard our return to Inhorgenta  Munich – after a short timeout – as the absolutely right decision, which is proven by the very good feedback we have received from our customers."

A highlight of the show was the debut of the   Inhorgeta  Award which was presented to recipients at a glittering  gala event, where more than  450 people were gathered.

The winners of the six categories are: jewellery label  Isabelle Fa - Fine Jewelry Category;  jewellery brand Sif Jacobs - Fashion Jewelry Category ;  brand   Junghans – Watch Category;  Roberto Demeglio - Designer Category; Addore – Retailer Category.  The prize  for Best Piece of Jewellery selected through a popular online voting process was awarded to Liliana Guerreiro.

 Another attraction  at the fair were  the jewellery shows at which models presented selected jewellery of the exhibitors.

 A strong seminar programme, one of the focal points of which was digitalization, strengthened the knowledge offerings at  the show.   

For the first time, Inhorgenta Munich was a partner in the prestigious "Golden Balance Wheel" award ceremony, traditionally held on the closing day of the fair.   

The organisers have announced that next year, Inhorgenta  Munich will be held  from February 16 to 19, 2018, and return to its usual days -  Friday to Monday.
