Israel Diamond Exchange Sets Up Presidents\' Consultative Council

The new president of Israel Diamond Exchange, Yoram Dvash has set up an exclusive Presidents' Consultative Council (PCC) to advise him on all current affairs. The PCC, comprising the IDE's three Honorary Presidents, the President of the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association (IsDMA) and the Chairman of the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI), will hold regular meetings for this purpose.

The followung are the mambers of the PCC: IDE’s Hon Presidents, Shmuel Schnitzer, Avi Paz, Yair Sahar; IsDMA President Kobi (Jacob) Korn and Moti Ganz, Chairman of the Israel Diamond Institute.

Dvash said that his administration and the members would benefit from the advice given by experienced predecessors. "In the coming years, our industry will be going through many changes and will be facing a very different landscape in the markets in which we source, manufacture and sell our diamonds. While I am confident that we will continue to develop and grow, it will require different strategies and multi-faceted policies to ensure that the Israel diamond industry and trade adapts, changes and, as a result, will continue to thrive and grow."

He also said that the new committee will help generate across-the-board agreement for the policies of his administration which would therefore be implemented successfully.
