Japan Jewellery Fair Opens in Tokyo on August 26

Over 450 exhibitors from 15 countries are taking part in the Japan Jewellery Fair which is being held at Tokyo Big Sight Exhibition Center in Tokyo from August 26-28, 2015. The fair is being organised by the Japan Jewellery Association together with UBM. Over 16,000 professionals involved with the industry are expected to attend.

The exhibition is divided into over 20 national- and product-based pavilions and has been timed to enable retailers view new collections and place their orders for the upcoming Christmas and year-end retail season, according to the fair organisers. This includes the Fine Jewellery and Pearls section and a special ‘Re-Styled Jewellery Pavilion’, a strong trend in Japan where companies purchase jewellery from consumers and restyle or remake them for resale.

Other events that will be part of JJF are seminars on industry trends, the 2015 JJA Jewellery Design Awards, the JJA Jewellery Charity Campaign and the Jeweller’s Choice ‘The Woman of the Year’ Award.
