Jewellery Arabia 2014 Ends on a Positive Note

Jewellery  Arabia 2014, this year in its 23rd edition, ended on a positive note on November 22nd.

The show was inaugurated on November 18th under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
 

A total of 600 exhibitors from 30 countries were located in stalls covering a total area of 18,000 square metres; an increase of over 2,000 sqm from the 2013 expo.

The five-day show (Nov 18-22) attracted 50,054 visitors from various countries as against 48,470 visitors who attended in 2013. This included a large contingent of international buyers.

His Excellency Mohan Kumar, Ambassador of India to Bahrain, visited the India Pavilion immediately after the inauguration and was happy to note that there were 61 exhibitors in an area of 936 sqms from India who participated in this edition of the fair. 

On the 5th day, November 22nd, two hours between 12 noon and 2.00 pm were reserved by show organizers exclusively for women to attend. A large number of them visited the India and Hong Kong Pavilions.

Exhibitors in the India Pavilion generally felt that throughout the show, the number of visitors visiting their stalls was sizable; with each consecutive day recording an increase of visitors and with traffic peaking on the 5th day after 6.00 pm. The business conducted also proved to be satisfactory, and most participants expressed their intention of returning to the show next  year.
