Kama Schachter Amongst First Companies to Be Issued Swasthya Ratna Policy

Several companies have begun  taking the GJEPC’s Swasthya Ratna Policy for their workers. Among the first companies to take a big group policy is Kama Schachter which has taken the policy for 800 workers.

The first policy was issued to Saraff Solitaires for six persons. “I think it is a very good initiative from the Council for its members. It is very thoughtful and it’s the need of the hour,” said  the Executive Director of Saraff Solitaires Kanhaiya Agarwal. “When I first heard about the scheme and its features in detail, I went for it without a second thought. Also, the Council is bearing 25% of the premium cost which is an added advantage. Overall, I am very happy with the features of the policy and I will also encourage other GJEPC members to go for it.”

Some unique features of the Swasthya Ratna Policy are: No room rent capping; 25% premium paid by GJEPC;  all diseases covered from day one –  no waiting period for pre-existing diseases; no waiting period for maternity; cashless claims.

Other companies which have so far taken policies include Lotus Gem, Gems Mart and Deccan Exports.
