Latest Synthetic Diamond Detection Technology to be Showcased at DDES 2015

Leading global gemmological laboratories and machinery manufacturers will exhibit their latest technology and equipment for the detection of synthetic diamonds at the Diamond Detection Expo & Symposium (DDES 2015), alongside seminars and panel discussions on the same theme featuring leading experts and trade members.

DDES 2015 is being organised by The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) in association with Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) on Dec 15-16, 2015 at the BDB in Mumbai.

Those who will be participating in the Expo include DRC Techno, Gemological Institute of America (GIA), Gemological Science International (GSI), Gemmological Institute of India (GII), HRD Antwerp, International Institute of Diamond Grading & Research (IIDGR) and International Gemological Institute (IGI).

In addition to the wide array of latest equipment and tools for detection of synthetic diamonds, there will also be a series of Expert Talks and Panel Discussions. Some of those who will participate in these sessions include Dr. Philip Martineau, IIDGR; Tom Moses, GIA; Dr. Jean Pierre Chalain, Deputy Director Swiss Gemmological Institute SSEF; Praveenshankar Pandya Chairman, GJEPC; Anoop Mehta President – BDB, Vidhya Mazumdar, GSI; Dr. Jean-Pierre Chalain and Ellen Barrie, HRD Antwerp.

The two-day event, being held in the premises of the BDB, will also feature a series of short seminar sessions conducted by GII, Knowledge Partner for the event, which will cover instrumental methods of detecting Lab-grown diamonds.

While entry to the exhibition will be free to all trade members dealing in diamonds & diamond jewellery, entry to the seminars will be through pre-registration only.
