Malabar Gold Unveils ‘Diamond Exchange Offer’ in Middle East

Leading Middle East retailer Malabar Gold & Diamonds has unveiled a new campaign under which consumers can upgrade their diamond jewellery by exchanging their older ornaments for IGI-certified new ones. The campaign which was launched in the region yesterday will run for 18 days, ending on Ocober 10.

Speaking at the launch, Shamlal Ahamed, malabar Gold’s managing director – international operations said, “The campaign is an exclusive offer which no other jewellery retailer has provided to customers.”

Customers making purchases using credit / debit cards will have to pay no additional charges he said.

The jeweller has a range of choices including collections such as Ethnix - Handcrafted Designer Jewellery, Era - Uncut Diamond Jewellery, Mine - Diamonds Unlimited, Divine - Indian Heritage Jewellery, Precia - Precious Gem Jewellery and Starlet - Kids Jewellery.

Last week, the well-known retailer opened a new outlet in Lulu Hypermarket, Sohar, Oman. This is its 135th outlet worldwide and 8th in Oman.

Speaking at the launch, Ahamed had said, “We have 22 showrooms in the pipeline for worldwide expansion, that include four in India and 18 outside India like the Middle East and Far East.”

He had added that the company aimed to invest US$ 125 mn in opening 21 new showrooms across the GCC, India and Far East in the next six months. It aims to boost revenues to US$ 4 bn by next year.
