The Spring Edition 2016 of the Malaysia International Jewellery Fair (MIJF) will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from January 15-18, 2016, the organisers Elite Expo Sdn Bhd, have announced. The theme of this year’s edition is “Sapphire: The Allegory of Spring”.

MIJF has been conducted annually since 2004. This year there are over 120 exhibitors from more than 10 countries who will be showcasing their latest jewellery collections. Over 11,000 visitors are expected to attend.

The MIJF fair is supported by Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau, Hong Kong Jewellery and Jade Manufacturers Association and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.

The highlights of the show include a Fashion Show that will be held along with the inaugural to showcase some of the latest jewellery that will be on display; as well as a series of programmes around sapphires, particularly The Grandeur of Sapphire galleria, featuring exquisite and signature collections of the gemstone.

A special attraction is the Visit and Win – Everyday Sapphire Lucky Draw contest, with sapphire jewellery being given to one lucky visitor each day and the Spend and Win contest open to those who make purchases at the show in excess of RM 10,000 (maximum two receipts).
