Muthoot Exim Pvt. Ltd, the precious metals division of the 129-year-old Muthoot Pappachan Group, has launched ‘’Mobile Muthoot Gold Point,” a mobile gold buying vehicle that will help customers who wish to sell gold do so at their doorstep.

A first of its kind initiative, the vehicle will reach out to customers who want the convenience of being able to sell their gold in a transparent, safe and legal manner at a place of their choice, the Company said in a press note. It is an on-call service which reaches the doorsteps of those who want to sell their old gold.

The gold received for buyback will be valued instantly either through the XRF technology as well as melting of the gold (if required and agreed upon by the customers). Cash will be paid instantly for transactions valued at below Rs 20,000 while for sums in excess of that the money will be immediately transferred to the customer’s account via IMPS, NEFT or RTGS. The mobile service is an extension of the nine  Muthoot Gold Point branches recently opened across India (Coimbatore, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Vijayawada and Madurai) for transparent sale of old gold.
