Peregrine Diamonds Becomes Member of Diamond Bourse of Canada

Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. a diamond exploration and development company focused on Canada’s North, recently joined the Diamond Bourse of Canada, thus becoming the first amongst the newer, junior mining companies to become affiliated to a bourse.

Jennifer Pell, the mining company's chief geoscientist, will represent Peregrine on the Bourse -- of which De Beers Canada too, is a member -- it is reported.

"We look forward to working with Peregrine and wish them every success in their pursuit of diamonds in Canada," media reports quoted the  bourse's president, David Gavin as saying.

Peregrine is said to be a promising source of diamonds in the future.  About 71 kimberlites have been discovered at its 100 percent-owned Chidliak project so far.

It will be recalled that the Diamond Bourse of Canada itself was admitted into the fold of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) in June last year.
