RJC Announces Restructuring of Management Team

The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) has decided to restructure its senior management team introducing the new role of an Executive Director (ED) in place of the existing position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).  This decision, as well as some others related to the apex management structure, was taken at a meeting of the RJC’s elected Board Members on 1 April 2015.

The organisation says that the position of ED is in line with the practice elsewhere in many non-profit organisations.

A new post of Standards Director has also been created as part of the rebuilding of the Standards team.

Similarly, the special new position of an Indian manager reflects RJC’s 2013 commitment to this market recognizing it as a key player in the jewellery pipeline.

The RJC’s Annual General Meeting is being held in Mumbai next week, where James Courage, RJC Chair or Charles Chaussepied, RJC Vice Chair will speak more about these changes.
