RJC’s New Appointments Bolster Standards and Impacts and Certification Teams

The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) yesterday announced the appointment of Anne-Marie Fleury as Standards and Impacts Director.

Anne-Marie will be responsible for providing “strategic and technical leadership in standards development, certification, assurance, impact measurement and reporting”, said RJC detailing her role.

Also recently appointed, Certification and Impacts Manager Bethan Herbert “will implement RJC’s work in certification, impact measurement and reporting”, RJC elaborated.

Prior to joining the RJC, Anne-Marie worked for 15 years on environmental, social and corporate governance in the mining sector.

Most recently she was a freelance consultant and Associate with Futureye; she has earlier worked with the World Bank as well as with individual companies in the engineering and pharmaceutical sectors and with the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM).

Bethan joined the RJC team in August from her previous job at Bureau Veritas.  She has nine years experience in corporate social responsibility consulting, report assurance and auditing.

“It is an absolute pleasure welcoming both Anne-Marie and Bethan to the RJC family,” said Andrew Bone, RJC’s Executive Director.  “Anne-Marie brings valuable know-how to the RJC while Bethan’s understanding of the audit process will be an asset to our Members and the Management Team.”
