Rosy Blue Plants 3,000 Trees in Environment Protection Drive

Rosy Blue NV, based in Antwerp since 1973, took up the cause of protecting the environment in that city, in cooperation with the Flemish organisation BOS+ and the non-profit organisation International Association of Human Values (IAHV).

On Sunday December 14, approximately 30 IAHV volunteers planted 3,000 trees sponsored by Rosy Blue on a one-acre property in Malle, Antwerp. The planting operation was coordinated by BOS +, an organisation that is dedicated to conserving and increasing forests in Flanders and beyond. Five native tree species were chosen to create a diverse and beautiful forest: oak, maple, elm, alder and beech.

The company said, “Rosy Blue is a leading company in the field of sustainability and aims to contribute to the environment of Antwerp.”  Through this cooperation, Rosy Blue said, it hopes to raise awareness amongst young people and highlight the importance of ecology for future generations.

The company also said that “it has always strived to fulfill a pioneering role, not only in the field of diamond manufacturing and trading but also in the area of corporate social responsibility”. Rosy Blue has been engaged in environmental conservation since 2010 and seeks to reduce its global carbon footprint through various means such as making its operations more energy efficient.
