Senior government officials, Shri Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Jt. Secretary – EP Gem & Jewellery section, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, and Shri Darshan Singh, Addl. DGFT recently participated in an Outreach Seminar in Jaipur to discuss issues related to Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and Regional Trade Agreements (RTA). The meeting was hosted by the Ministry and GJEPC.

A large number of exporter members of GJEPC from Jaipur attended the meeting and voiced some of the concerns of the trade. Shri Dwivedi addressed these issues and assured the trade that the Ministry is sensitive to matters that have a direct bearing on exports.

Shri Singh gave a presentation on FTAs and RTAs and appraised the exporters on various opportunities available for the export trade through them.

Another presentation, made by FIEO, introduced the “India Trade Portal”, the services benefits it provided and its advantages.

GJEPC’s Regional Chairman, Shri Pramod Kumar Agarwal welcomed the dignitaries and the members and in his speech he praised the initiatives taken by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

Participants appreciated the efforts taken by the Ministry and the Council.
