Single Trade Show Platform Created For Italian Gold & Jewellery Sectors

Italian Exhibition Group Spa (IEG) -- formed recently through a merger of  Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza --  has signed an agreement with Arezzo Fiere e Congressi Srl  to create a single organisation to organise  trade shows for the gold and jewellery industry.   By this agreement Arezzo Fiere e Congressi will   become a corporate member of Italian Exhibition Group, “receiving shares to a value to be defined on mutual agreement as pecuniary consideration for transferring the brands”, the press statement announcing the agreement noted.

The  platform for shows for the entire gold and jewellery industry in Italy,  will be managed  solely  by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG).  Hence, IEG will now be responsible for organising the OROAREZZO and Gold Italy, apart from the three editions (two in Italy and one in Dubai) of the VICENZAORO shows it already manages.

“The transaction between IEG and the Arezzo company, an example of a nationwide unitary supply chain trade show project, is supported by the Ministry of Economic Development as part of its programme for promoting the main Made in Italy production chains and strengthening the best shows from an international viewpoint,” the organisations said.

The new agreement takes forward the co-operation between Fiera di Vicenza and Arezzo Fiere e Congressi which was forged in 2016  and “which led to coordinating the Italian gold and jewellery trade show calendar with the separate and autonomous management of the respective shows”.

Lorenzo Cagnoni, President of IEG, commented: "The agreement is important not only because it creates one single organisation for Italian gold and jewellery shows with a view towards industrial systematisation, but also because it strengthens Italian Exhibition Group's mission, that is, to act as a platform for other organisations and to thus contribute to developing and boosting the Italian trade show system."

Andrea Boldi, President of Arezzo Fiere e Congressi, said: "Today's agreement overcomes local pride and provides new prospects for re-launching Made in Italy jewellery exports.”
