Successful Conclusion of Third Edition of Antwerp Rough Diamond Days

Around 50 exhibitors participated in the Antwerp Rough Diamond Days that concluded yesterday.  They conducted business – trading rough diamonds – with buyers attending from within Belgium and those from other countries as well.

The event, which took place in the Antwerpsche Diamantkring (Rough Diamond Bourse) this week, was considered to be a success by the organisers.

The Kring said the success of previous editions had spurred them to organise a third edition of this trade event which focused exclusively on rough diamonds.

Chairman of the Antwerpsche Diamantkring, and organiser of the event, Freddy Inzlicht commented: “Now more than ever, the time has come to stand united, and join forces to promote our industry. We are convinced that, if we put our hearts and minds, our passion to it, we can surely reach our goals, not just here in Antwerp, but far beyond.”

The exhibitors too, were pleased with the results of the fair, the organisers reported.  “It welcomed significant numbers of potential buyers over the two days,” the Kring said in a press note.  “In addition to the many Belgian diamond dealers, a large number of foreign delegations from Israel, India, China and the Far East were also on hand.”

The Kring also took the opportunity to launch its new website during the opening of the fair. “After weeks of hard work, we can now launch our new website, designed to service our members even better,” said Inzlicht
