Lucapa Diamond Company announced recently that it had recovered three more special large stones at Mining Block 8 at its Lulo Diamond Project in Angola.

The latest special (those weighing more than 10.8 cts) diamonds weigh 40.59 cts; 28.13 cts and 23.32 cts respectively. The 40.59 ct stone has been confirmed as a top-colour Type IIa  gem; while the 28.13 ct one has been confirmed as a top-colour Type I gem. Testing was done by the Yehuda colorimeter.

With these latest recoveries, the total number of “specials” recovered at Lulo’s Mining Block 8 has gone up to 14.
