ALROSA to Offer Large Rough Diamonds at Vladivostok Auction

ALROSA announced that it will conduct an auction sale in Vladivostok from April 16 to 27, 2018 offering 110 gem quality lots of special size rough diamonds (all over 10.8 carats) totalling 1,946 carats. The largest stone on sale is 46.64 carats.

The assortment will consist of rough diamonds mined from the deposits of PJSC ALROSA, and its subsidiaries – JSC Almazy Anabara, PJSC Alrosa-Nyurba and PJSC Severalmaz, the Russian miner said.

The sale is being organised by the United Selling Organization of ALROSA and the ALROSA branch in Vladivostok.

Nearly 80 companies from different countries – including Hong Kong, Russia, Israel, India, Belgium and UAE are expected to take part in the auction. The results will be summed up on April 27, 2018, ALROSA said.

Evgeny Agureev, Director of USO ALROSA, Member of the Executive Committee said, “Vladivostok is one of the most important trading sites for ALROSA, which focuses on cooperation with Asia Pacific region as well. We invited about 80 firms to participate in the auction and prepared for them large diamonds that are traditionally in great demand.”

The ALROSA branch in Vladivostok was established in 2016 for the purpose of development of the Eurasian Diamond Centre in the territory of the Free Port of Vladivostok. The branch sold the first rough diamonds at the EDC in August-September of 2016.
