GJEPC Conducts Export Promotion Seminar in Chandigarh

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) conducted a Seminar on promotion of export of gems and jewellery at Chandigarh yesterday. The seminar, which was attended by about 125 jewellers from the city, was organised by GJEPC’s Regional Office, Delhi and was held in association with the Chandigarh Sarafa Association.

An initial presentation, introducing the various programmes conducted by the institute, was made by the Training In-charge of IIGJ Delhi.

Ashok Seth, Regional Chairman-North, GJEPC addressed the gathering and briefed them about the industry and the role of the Council. He spoke about various schemes like CFC, Parichay Cards, Medical Insurance for workers etc.

Following this, K.K. Duggal, Director-Policy, GJEPC gave a detailed presentation about the benefits of  becoming a member of Council and the various export promotion schemes existing under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP).

Anil Talwar leading local Jeweller and President of Chandigarh Sarafa Association appreciated the steps taken by GJEPC in organising such a seminar in Chandigarh after several years.

A number of local jewellers also registered on the spot for the forthcoming IIJS.
