GJEPC Expands IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 Promotion Across Thailand

GJEPC has expanded its promotional campaign for IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 across Thailand through a series of meetings with the Embassy of India, leading industry associations, government institutions and jewellery retailers. Varun Chulet, Assistant Director, GJEPC Jaipur, led the outreach aimed at strengthening bilateral trade ties and encouraging greater Thai participation in the show.

The outreach began with a courtesy visit to the Embassy of India in Bangkok, where the GJEPC delegation met Ms. Jagpreet Kaur, Head of the Economic and Commerce Wing, Mr. Navin Bhardwaj, Attaché (Economic & Commerce), and Mr. Tarun Mangal, Assistant Attaché (Economic & Commerce). Discussions focused on the India-Thailand gem and jewellery trade, enhancing participation at IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 and promoting the show across Thailand.

The Embassy assured GJEPC of its full support for IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 and agreed to facilitate outreach by sharing the exhibition’s details with Thailand’s jewellery trade network and assisting in connecting the Council with industry contacts.

As part of its industry engagement programme, GJEPC met representatives of Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA), ASEAN Gems and Jewellery Association (AGJA) and Thai Silver Exporters Association (TSEA), inviting their members to visit IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026. The associations welcomed the initiative and expressed interest in organising official visitor delegations to the show.

GJEPC also carried out an extensive retail outreach campaign, personally inviting jewellers operating in Bangkok’s Jewellery Trade Center and Charan Wong Road to attend IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026. Retailers were encouraged to explore sourcing opportunities from India, identify emerging design and product trends, conduct market research, and gain insights into evolving consumer preferences. The initiative received a positive response from the trade.

During the visit, GJEPC held discussions with Suttipong Damrongsakul, President of the ASEAN Gems and Jewellery Association at Gemopolis, on bringing a dedicated AGJA delegation from Gemopolis to IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026.

The delegation also met Sidthisak Limvatanayingyong, President, and Tienbhan Bunsongsikul, Secretary General of the Thai Silver Exporters Association, to discuss organising factory visits for Indian exhibitors during the Bangkok show, identifying Thai companies interested in establishing manufacturing facilities in India, promoting IIJS among TSEA members, and forming a TSEA delegation for the exhibition.

In another key meeting, GJEPC met Sumed Prasongpongchai, Director General of Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT), where discussions covered a potential student exchange programme with the Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) and expanding IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 promotion through GIT’s academic and industry network.

The Thailand outreach forms part of GJEPC’s ongoing international campaign to strengthen trade partnerships, deepen engagement with key overseas markets and attract a wider base of buyers and industry stakeholders to IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026.
