At a special function held in the BDB premises on March 1, The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) felicitated its officers and staff who had excelled in the different Hindi competitions held during the last year, as well as some who had made special outstanding efforts in promoting the use of the language during this period.

The winners were honoured by the members of the CoA present at the function including Chairman Pramod Agarwal, Vice-Chairman Colin Shah, Regional Chairman – West Ashok Gajera and Chief Executive Director Sabyasachi Ray. The programme was coordinated by Head-Membership, GJEPC Mithlesh Pandey.

Addressing the gathering, the Chairman said that every type of assistance would be given for the promotion of the official language, even as the Vice Chairman stressed that officials and staff should focus on two aspects – work should be done quickly and effectively, and members who approach the Council for assistance should return with high levels of satisfaction. The CED presented an overview of the activities for promotion of Hindi that were taken up during the year.
