The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) in Gujarat held a meeting with Ms Supatra Sawaengsri, Executive Director, Dept of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government to discuss different aspects of trade promotion between the two countries. The meeting took place at the GJEPC office in Surat.

The GJEPC delegation was led by Regional Chairman Mr Dinesh Navadiya while Mr Tanapat Sangaroon, Dy. ED of DITP and Trade Officer accompanied the DITP ED.

The two sides discussed different areas for trade promotion including the Bangkok Jewellery Show, conducting a promotional seminar during the Vibrant Gujarat event, collaboration for 925 silver jewellery, collaboration between IDI and GIT, a visit of a delegation to Thailand during Chanthaburi World Gem Show 2019, outbound and inbound investment opportunities etc.
