GJEPC, in association with the Udaipur Sarafa Association, conducted a seminar on 21st June to strengthen its outreach to the regional gem and jewellery trade. The event drew over 300 participants, including traders, wholesalers, a few manufacturers, and retailers.

Council officials highlighted several key initiatives such as the India Jewellery Park Mumbai (IJPM), Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ), and gem testing laboratories. Many attendees showed interest in the India Jewellery Exposition Centre (IJEX) in Dubai and were particularly keen to learn more about e-commerce opportunities in the sector.

Mr. Shailendra Sharma, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Government of Rajasthan, also addressed the audience, providing valuable information on a range of central and state government schemes available to industry stakeholders.
