GJEPC held a meeting with faculty members from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) at its head office in Mumbai on 10th September to explore potential areas of collaboration.

The NIFT delegation comprised Ms. Jayati Mukherjee, Associate Professor, NIFT Kolkata and Chairperson of Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories (F&LA), NIFT Headquarters; Mr. Kumar Sudeepta: Assistant Professor and Regional Industry Coordinator, NIFT Mumbai; and Dr. Pallavi Rani: Assistant Professor and Centre Coordinator - F&LA, NIFT Mumbai.

They were welcomed by Mr. Nirav Bhansali, Convener – National Exhibitions, GJEPC; Mr. Milan Chokshi, Convener – Promotions & Marketing, GJEPC; and Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC.

The discussion focused on potential areas of collaboration, such as Classroom Projects, Participation in Design Competitions like The Artisan Awards, Industry Exposure through Internships and Placements, Participation in IIJS, Faculty Development, and Knowledge Sharing through Seminars and Workshops.
