Registration Opens for 38th World Diamond Congress

Registration of delegates for the 38th World Diamond Congress which is being held in Israel on June 19-21, 2018 has commenced with the launch of a dedicated website at http://www.diamondcongress2018israel.com. The site offers online registration facilities and forms, WFDB said.

The Congress, the biennial gathering of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA), is this year being organised by the Israel Diamond Exchange.

On the first day of the three-day event, various committee meetings of the WFDB and IDMA will be held. The day will also feature a tour of the Israel Diamond Exchange and will end with a cocktail evening.

As reported earlier, the official opening session of the Congress will convene on June 20. During the day, separate WFDB and IDMA working sessions will take place, followed by a professional lecture. The day will conclude with a Gala Dinner. The last day of the Congress will also include a panel discussion and a professional lecture, and the event will come to a close with a press briefing.

WFDB President Ernie Blom said the WFDB and IDMA will have a full agenda of issues relating to their organisations and the state of the global diamond industry. He added, "There are many issues to be tackled, and I look forward to extremely interesting and challenging discussions.”

Blom also pointed out that the 38th Congress will have some new features including professional lectures and a joint panel discussion. “It is crucial that our annual meetings, both the Congress and the Presidents Meeting, feature innovative features to bring added content and value," he stated.

The Congress website will also provide details of other social events for attendees and spouses.
