Robert Buchbauer, who has been a member of the Executive Board of Swarovski since 2002 and is also Chairman of the Board, has been appointed as the CEO of the Company.

His appointment is part of a “management reorganisation” move media reports say so that the Company’s various verticals can be streamlined and brought under one umbrella and also to bring the Company under a common vision and strategy for growth.

Buchbauer is the great-great grandson of company founder Daniel Swarovski, and is the Head of the Swarovski Consumer Goods Business.  It is reported that he will continue in his position as Chairman of the Board.

It is understood that while Nadia Swarovski and Mathias Margreiter will continue to be on the Executive Board, Markus Langes-Swarovski will demit his position and take up an advisory role and as chairman of the Board of Directors.
