Senior Commerce Ministry Officials Address GJEPC Exporters’ Meet in Kolkata

Two senior officials of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Smt. Rupa Dutta, Economic Advisor and Shri Senthil Nathan S, Deputy Secretary, addressed exporters from Kolkata at a meeting convened by The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) in that city on July 23, 2019.

GJEPC Chairman Pramod Kumar Agrawal, East Regional Chairman, Prakash Chadra Pincha and ED Sabyaschi Ray also spoke on the occasion.

More than 30 leading exporters participated in the interactive session and raised various issues and made several suggestions to boost exports of gems and jewellery.

Smt Dutta briefed the members about the upcoming Common Facility Centre (CFC) at Bow Bazar and stressed that the Government is committed to support the MSME units within the industry. She also advised members to approach the regional office in case of any difficulty with regard to exports. Shri Senthil Nathan also addressed the gathering.
