SRK Receives Net Zero Excellence Award at ESG Summit

Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK) has received the “Net Zero Excellence Award” from The Forum House at The House of ESG Summit & Awards 2026 in Bengaluru.

The recognition follows the company’s work on emissions measurement, renewable energy, green buildings, resource efficiency, water and waste management, and carbon sequestration.

SRK operates two LEED Platinum-certified natural diamond crafting facilities in Surat, SRK Empire and SRK House. Both received Net-Zero Energy and Emissions certification from Global Network for Zero (GNFZ) in 2024. The company has since expanded its emissions reporting to include independently verified Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions, along with product-level carbon measurement.

Its afforestation initiative, Geeta Vatika, recorded verified carbon sequestration of approximately 2,929 tonnes of CO₂ in FY2023–24, 3,182 tonnes in FY2024–25 and 4,982 tonnes in FY2025–26, according to figures verified by DQS.

SRK’s Product Carbon Footprint has also been independently verified by DQS India. According to the company, the assessment found that carbon sequestration credits exceeded emissions associated with the core diamond-crafting process covered by the assessment.

The award was presented during a summit that brought together business leaders, policymakers, investors and sustainability professionals to discuss sustainability, profitability, supply-chain risks and regulatory scrutiny.

Dr. Nirav Mandir, Chief Human Capital and Sustainability Officer at SRK, said, “For SRK, sustainability has been about building systems, measuring outcomes and creating lasting impact. We believe the natural diamond industry has an opportunity to demonstrate that responsible crafting can be embedded into the product journey itself. This recognition encourages us to continue raising that standard.”
