GJEPC Contributes Rs.20 Lakh Towards UP Govt.'s Fight Against Covid

In wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ashok Seth, regional chairman - North, GJEPC, on behalf of the Council members, met Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mr Yogi Adityanath, and contributed Rs. 20 lakh to augment the financial resources of the State Government for the welfare of its people.

GJEPC had allocated a fund of Rs.51 crore to fight against Covid-19 and help the disadvantaged workers of the industry. The latest contribution of Rs.20 lakh to the UP Government is part of the same aid initiative of the GJEPC. Of the above mentioned Rs.51 crore, the Council has allocated Rs.21 crore to the PM Cares fund to undertake Covid-19 outbreak relief measures.

GJEPC is also helping daily wage workers of the industry by transferring Rs.1,500 in the form of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into their individual bank accounts.
